                    CABLE SERVICES BUREAU STAFF UPDATE

     Meredith J. Jones, Chief of the Cable Services Bureau, announces the following
personnel changes at the Bureau:

Office of the Bureau Chief:

     John Logan, Acting Deputy Bureau Chief.
     Former title: Deputy Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs at the Commission. 
     Logan started with the Commission in February of 1994.  Prior to joining the
     Commission, Logan served as Director of the United States Trustee Program at the
     Department of Justice.  He served a total of 14 years at the Department of Justice.

Policy and Rules Division:

     Rick Chessen, Assistant Division Chief.
     Former title: Senior Staff Attorney.  Chessen started with the Commission and the
     Bureau in October of 1994.

     Thomas Power, Assistant Division Chief.  
     Former title: Senior Staff Attorney.  Power started with the Commission and the 
     Bureau in November of 1994.

Consumer Protection and Competition Division:

     Ronald Parver, Assistant Division Chief.
     Former title: Team Leader.  Parver has been with the Bureau since it was established
     in December 1993 and has worked on cable matters at the Commission for 22 years. 
     He was Chief of the Cable Television Branch of the Mass Media Bureau before the
     Cable Services Bureau was created.

     David Roberts, Assistant Division Chief.
     Former title: Team manager.  Roberts started with the Commission and the Bureau in
     December of 1993.

Financial Analysis and Compliance Division:

     Lenworth Smith, Deputy Division Chief.
     Former title: Team manager.  Smith has been with the Commission and the Bureau
     since May of 1994.

     Hugh Boyle, Assistant Division Chief.
     Former title: Team leader.  Boyle has officially been with the Bureau since April of
     1994.  Prior to that, he worked on cable issues as a member of the Common Carrier
     Bureau staff.  Boyle has 14 years of service with the Commission

     Austin Groom, Assistant Division Chief.
     Former title: Senior Accountant.  Groom has been with the Commission and the
     Bureau since September of 1994.

     Janet Sievert, Assistant Division Chief.
     Former title: Team manager.  Sievert has been with the Commission and the Bureau
     since November of 1994.
