Hoffman leaves his post as Deputy Chief of the FCC's Cable Services Bureau to become Senior Vice President and Counsel at the American Association of Advertising Agencies in Washington, DC. A replacement has not yet been named. Deborah Lathen said, "Adonis has been an integral member of the cable team. His work as a knowledgeable manager and policy maker has been invaluable. I will miss him as a trusted advisor and personal friend." Mr. Hoffman joined the FCC in 1998 as Senior Counsel for Development Policy in the International Bureau and was tapped by Cable Chief Lathen for the deputy job in 1999. Mr. Hoffman helped to coordinate the Bureau's broadband monitoring efforts, industry outreach, and was a member of the Bureau's merger review team. Mr. Hoffman received a J.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. from Princeton University. - FCC -
