April 22, 1994 FCC FORMS 1200, 1205 AND 1210 FOR USE WITH 1994 FCC CABLE RATE REGULATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON LOTUS 1-2-3 FOR WINDOWS SPREADSHEET On February 22, 1994, the Commission revised its cable rate regulations in the Second Order on Reconsideration, Fourth Report and Order, and Fifth Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in MM Docket No. 92-266, Implementation of Sections of the Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992, Rate Regulation. The Commission has developed new forms to accompany its rule changes. Certain forms are available on computer disks as spreadsheets. The spreadsheets are available as follows: Pursuant to its announcement on April 5, 1994, the Commission is now releasing Forms 1200, 1205 and 1210 in a spreadsheet format on a 3 1/2" disk in Lotus 1-2-3 for WINDOWS users. These forms are already available in Excel 4.0 for Windows, and Lotus 1-2-3 for DOS. All disks are accompanied by a cover page that lists the names of the files and important information about their use. In particular, it is important to note that the disk now being released should not be run under DOS, it was designed solely for use on Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows. The disk and cover page are available from the Commission's duplicating contractor, International Transcription Service (ITS), by calling (202) 857-3800. The Commission is accepting FCC Form 1201 immediately; requests should be faxed to (202) 416-1207. The Commission will begin accepting all other forms on, and not before, May 15, 1994. The Commission is working to produce these spreadsheets in other commercially available software. We hope to make other versions available in the very near future, and will release a similar notice with each new release. We strongly encourage individuals to await the Commission's official release of these other versions, rather than attempting program conversions into other commercially available software. The Commission will not accept printouts generated by spreadsheets other than those produced by Commission-provided programs. We regret that the Commission cannot provide assistance to users of non- Commission released formats. Individuals requiring assistance with the Commission's version of either the Lotus or the Excel versions of the disk may call (202) 416-0856. Please indicate that you are seeking assistance with the disk software so that your call can be connected properly. -FCC- FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION CABLE SERVICES BUREAU RELEASE OF CABLE FORMS 1200, 1205 AND 1210 ON LOTUS 1-2-3 FOR WINDOWS SPREADSHEET IMPORTANT NOTICE TO USERS: File names on disk: The files listed below are the only files that should appear on the disk. 1200.wk4 1205.wk4 1210.wk4 The files that end with ".wk4" are the spreadsheets for Cable Rate Forms 1200, 1205 and 1210.
