FCC RELEASES SEMIANNUAL STUDY ON TELEPHONE TRENDS


     The FCC has released a semiannual report on Trends in
Telephone Service.  The report is a summary of information
collected by the Commission in much more detailed reports.  

     This report is available for reference in the Industry
Analysis Division Reference Room, Common Carrier Bureau, 1250 23rd
Street, N.W., Plaza Level.  Copies may be purchased by calling
