INTRODUCTION 1. On December 30, 1998, we released the Pacific Bell Suspension Order, which suspended for one day and set for investigation the rates for the common line basket filed by Pacific Bell in Transmittal Numbers 2020 and 2026. In that Order, we concluded that Pacific Bell's proposed correction of Centrex line counts in Transmittal Number 2020 may have resulted in an improper increase of Pacific Bell's maximum permitted common line revenues and thus raised a substantial question of lawfulness that warranted investigation. We also noted that in Transmittal Number 2026, Pacific Bell proposed, among other things, to revise rates "to reflect the correct recovery of the Common Line revenue requirement," but did not further revise its Centrex line counts. 2. In this Order, on our own motion, we reconsider our decision to suspend and investigate the rates for the common line basket filed by Pacific Bell in Transmittal Numbers 2020 and 2026. II. DISCUSSION 3. Pursuant to Sections 0.91, 0.291, and 1.108 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.91, 0.291, 1.108, we reconsider on our own motion our decision in the Pacific Bell Suspension Order to suspend and investigate the rates for the common line basket filed by Pacific Bell in Transmittal Numbers 2020 and 2026. On January 26, 1999, Pacific Bell filed Transmittal Number 2031, proposing revisions to the maximum permitted common line revenues requirement. On January 28, 1999, Pacific Bell filed Transmittal No. 2032, modifying the revisions it proposed in Transmittal Number 2031. We find that Pacific Bell's revisions in Transmittal No. 2032 adequately address the issue raised in the Pacific Bell Suspension Order. Accordingly, we decline to investigate the rates for the common line basket filed by Pacific Bell in Transmittal Numbers 2020 and 2026 and terminate the proceeding in CC Docket No. 98-241. III. ORDERING CLAUSES 4. IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to Sections 0.91, 0.291, and 1.108 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.91, 0.291, 1.108, we reconsider on our own motion our decision in the Pacific Bell Suspension Order to suspend and investigate the rates for the common line basket filed by Pacific Bell in Transmittal Numbers 2020 and 2026. 5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that, pursuant to Sections 0.91 and 0.291 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.91, 0.291, CC Docket No. 98-241 IS TERMINATED. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Jane E.
