$// PN, Pet. for Waiver //$ $/ 47 CFR 69 /$ "FOR RECORD ONLY" DA 95-1609 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON GTE'S PETITION FOR WAIVER OF THE REQUIREMENT TO PLACE CERTAIN SERVICES INTO FEDERAL AND STATE ONA TARIFFS CC 92-256 Released: July 19, 1995 On July 7, 1995 the GTE Telephone Operating Companies and GTE System Telephone Companies (GTE) filed a petition seeking a waiver of the requirement of the GTE ONA Order that requires GTE to place certain local and obsolete services identified in its ONA Plan into the Federal and State ONA access tariffs. In its waiver petition, GTE proposes to include 3 Basic Service Elements by reference in its federal access tariff rather than create an ONA offering. GTE also proposes to eliminate the access Alarm Signal Transport Service Basic Service Arrangement from its ONA Plan because the underlying technology supporting this local service is becoming obsolete. Interested parties should file comments on GTE's waiver request by July 31, 1995, and reply comments by August 7, 1995, the Secretary, FCC, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
