$// PN, GTE Waiver of Pt. 69 for VDT Service, DA 95-1694 //$ $/ 47 CFR  69 Acess Charges /$ FOR RECORD ONLY DA 95-1694 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON GTE'S PETITION FOR WAIVER OF PART 69 RULES TO FILE A TARIFF FOR VIDEO DIALTONE SERVICE CCBPol 95-2 Released: August 1, 1995 On July 27, 1995, GTE Telephone Operating Companies and the GTE System Telephone Companies (GTE) filed a petition seeking an expedited waiver of the Commission's rules in order to establish a new rate structure and tariff rate elements for video dialtone service under transport categories of Part 69. GTE states that the waiver is necessary for it to file a tariff for video dialtone service. GTE proposes to establish rate elements that would provide programmer-customers with access to GTE's Video Distribution Office and the transport of video or audio programming signals to end user subscribers in the serving area. GTE also proposes to assess a one-time nonrecurring charge to recover the costs of installing the video dialtone connection at the end-user's premises. GTE states that programmer-customers who want to provide their own access facilities, or use those of an alternative access provider, may obtain a Virtual Expanded Interconnection services for the requested collocation arrangement pursuant to applicable GTE tariffs. Interested parties should file comments on GTE's petition by August 31, 1995, and reply comments by September 15, 1995 with the Secretary, FCC, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
