DA 95-1845 Released: August 21, 1995 COMMISSION SEEKS COMMENT ON EMERGENCY PETITION FOR DECLARATORY RULIN G ON REFUSAL OF CENTRAL OFFICE CODE ASSIGNMENTS Comments Due: September 5, 1995 Reply Comments Due: September 15, 1995 On August 17, 1995, Teleport Communications Group ("TCG") filed an Emergency Petition for Declaratory Ruling regarding the provision of central office code assignments by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company ("SWB") to TCG. The petitioner requests the Commission to expeditiously issue a declaratory ruling that the petitioner is entitled to receive immediate assignment of central office codes from SWB so that TCG can provide switched access services to its customers. TCG asserts that it has authority to offer interstate switched access service and urgently needs central office codes to support such offerings. We invite comment regarding TCG's Emergency Petition for Declaratory Ruling. Comments should be filed on or before September 5, 1995, and reply comments should be filed on or before September 15, 1995.
