$// PN, Request for Cost Information, DA 95-2089, CC Dkt. 95-72 //$ $/ 47 CFR 69.104 /$ FOR RECORD ONLY DA 95-2089 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON NON-TRAFFIC-SENSITIVE COST DATA SUBMITTED BY THE BOCS DOCKET NO. 95-72 Released: October 2, 1995 On May 30, 1995, the Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking comment on how we should assess End User Common Line (EUCL) charges for derived channel services, that is, services that derive multiple voice-grade channels from a single facility such as a local loop or T-1 facility. We suggested that one option would be to assess EUCLs, also called Subscriber Line Charges, based on a ratio of the average cost of a derived channel service, including line or trunk cards, to the average cost of an ordinary local loop or T-1 facility. Only one party, U S WEST Communications, Inc., submitted information regarding the relative non-traffic-sensitive (NTS) costs of single channel and multi-channel services. We believe that additional information on NTS costs will be helpful in our decision in this proceeding. Therefore, on September 29, 1995, we requested information from each of the Bell Operating Companies (BOCs) regarding NTS costs of single and multi-channel services they offer. We asked the BOCs to provide that information by close of business October 11, 1995. Interested partied are invited to file comments on the information submitted. An original and four copies of comments should be filed by October 20, 1995, and an original and four copies of reply comments should be filed by October 27, 1995, with the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. A copy also should be sent to Janice M. Myles, Common Carrier Bureau, FCC, Room 544, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554, to the Commission's contractor for public records duplication, ITS, Inc., 2100 M Street, N.W., Suite 140, Washington, D.C. 20037. Copies of the requests for information, and the BOCs' responses will be available for inspection and copying during normal business hours in the FCC's Public Reference Center (Room 239), 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. Copies can also be obtained from ITS at (202) 857-3800. We will continue to treat this proceeding as non-restricted for purposes of the Commission's ex parte rules. See generally 47 C.F.R. 1.1200-1.1216. For further information contact Janice Myles, Policy and Program Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau at (202) 418-1577.
