$// PN, Pacific Bell's Pet. for Temporary Ext. of Waiver, CC 90-623/88-2, DA 95-2302 //$ $/ 47 CFR 69 /$ "FOR RECORD ONLY" DA 95-2302 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON PACIFIC BELL'S PETITION FOR TEMPORARY EXTENSION OF WAIVER OF CALLER ID TARIFFING REQUIREMENTS CC Docket No. 90-623 CC Docket No. 88-2 Released: November 7, 1995 On October 27, 1995, Pacific Bell (Pacific) filed a Petition for Temporary Extension of Waiver seeking a temporary extension until June 1, 1996 of the waiver of its obligations under Open Network Architecture (ONA) to tariff interstate and intrastate caller ID-related services. Pacific states that the services for which it seeks the waiver extension are Calling Number Delivery via Individual Calling Line Identification (ICLID) and Bulk Calling Line Identification (BCLID). Pacific states that on July 31, 1995, Pacific filed a Petition for Temporary Extension of Waiver, requesting that its existing waiver of the ONA tariffing requirements be extended until December 1, 1995. Pacific states that on August 3, 1995, the Common Carrier Bureau issued an Order extending the waiver until the Bureau takes action on Pacific's July 31, 1995 Petition for Temporary Extension of Waiver. Pacific states that the basis for its July 31, 1995 request was that there were difficulties in meeting California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) requirements for passing calling party number (CPN), which Pacific states is necessary before it can offer the ICLID and BCLID services. Pacific notes that these difficulties have continued and will prevent it from being able to pass CPN by December 1, 1995. Pacific thus requests a temporary extension of the waiver for tariffing Caller ID ONA services until June 1, 1996, which Pacific states is when it believes it will meet the CPUC's requirements.
