PUBLIC NOTICE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION 1919 M STREET N.W. WASHINGTON, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202/418-0500 Recorded listing of releases and texts 202/418-2222. DA 95-2428 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON AMERITECH'S PETITION FOR WAIVER OF PART 69 OF THE COMMISSION'S RULES TO PERMIT THE ASSESSMENT OF EUCL CHARGE OF RESELLERS OF LOCAL EXCHANGE SERVICE CCBPol 95-27 Released: December 7, 1995 On November 30, 1995 Ameritech filed a petition requesting that the Commission waive certain provisions of Part 69 of the Commission's Rules related to access charges. Specifically, Ameritech requests waivers of the Part 69 Rules in order to assess the end user common line (EUCL) and the presubscription (PIC) change charge to resellers of Ameritech's exchange services. Ameritech states that several states in which Ameritech provides local exchange service are moving toward expanding local exchange competition. Ameritech states that this process will eliminate the resale restrictions in existing residential local exchange service tariffs or, in some cases, the approval of special resale tariffs with discounted rates. Ameritech requests waiver of the Part 69 Rules in order to allow Ameritech to bill End User Common Line (EUCL) charges directly to resellers. Ameritech states that because it will not have a direct relationship with end user customers of resellers, it is requesting this waiver in order to bill the EUCL and PIC charges to the resellers. Interested parties should file comments on Ameritech's petition by December 22, 1995 and reply comments by December 29, 1995 with the Secretary, FCC, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. A copy should also be sent to Janice Myles, Common Carrier Bureau, FCC, Room 544, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554, and to the Commission's contractor for public service records duplication: ITS, Inc., 2100 M Street, N.W., Suite 140, Washington, D.C. 20037. Ameritech's petition is available for inspection and copying in the Industry Analysis Division reference room, Common Carrier Bureau, Room 533, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
