                           GTE FILES REVISIONS 
                       TO ITS COST ALLOCATION MANUAL
                                                                       
                                                                                                        
       On May 24, 1996, GTE  filed proposed revisions to its cost allocation manual (CAM) for
the separation of regulated and nonregulated costs.  The revisions reflect that GTE has established
relationships with two new affiliates-GTE Media Ventures and GTE Long Distance.  Parties may
file comments on the proposed revisions to the CAM no later than July 29, 1996.  Replies should
be filed by August 12, 1996.  Comments should reference file number AAD 96-69.  A copy of
each pleading should be sent to Ron Kaufman, FCC Common Carrier Bureau, 2000 L Street,
N.W., Room 812, Washington, D.C. 20554 and the International Transcription Service (ITS),
2100 M Street, N.W., Suite 140, Washington, D.C. 20037.  Copies are available for public
