SBC Companies request delay in the implementation schedule to address defects found in Signal Transfer Points (STP) software supplied by a vendor. SBC states that the STP defects were not discovered until January 21, 1998, after live production testing was underway. We seek comments on SBC Companies' Petition for Extension of the May 15, 1998, Phase II Implementation deadline. If parties have already commented on SBC Companies' petitions, and have addressed scheduling delays beyond Phase I implementation in their comments, those parties need not file additional comments specifically addressing delays of Phase II implementation. Comments are due by April 3, 1998, and reply comments by April 9, 1998.
