     The Notice of Proposed Rule Making ("NPRM") in this proceeding, FCC 98-177, released
August 4, 1998, is revised as follows:  The text of footnote 37 is revised to read as follows:

          See NTIA Manual of Regulations & Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency
     Management, September 1995 Edition, Revisions for September 1996, January and
     May 1997, at pp. 4-68 and 4-98.  This function can also be performed in the 108-
     117.975 MHz and 1559-1610 MHz bands.

The NPRM contains two consecutive paragraphs numbered as "22."  We hereby correct this error by
renumbering the second of these paragraphs as "23" and by increasing the numbers of all succeeding
paragraphs by 1.  The NPRM also contains two consecutive footnotes numbered as "56."  We hereby
correct this error by renumbering the second of these footnotes as "57"; by increasing the numbers
of all succeeding footnotes by 1; and by correcting the textual citations to these footnotes
accordingly.  In addition, re-numbered footnote 72 (previously footnote 71) is revised to read as
follows: 

          See United States Proposals for the Work of the [1997] Conference, Document
     USWRC-97.10-E, "Issues Concerning Existing and Possible Additional Frequency
     Allocations For Feeder Links in the 15.4-15.7 GHz Band And Regulatory Aspects As
     Related To The Mobile-Satellite Services (JPDP 38)," at pp. 89-93. 

The cross reference in re-numbered footnote 73 (previously footnote 72) is changed from " 25" to
" 26"; the cross reference in re-numbered footnote 86 (previously footnote 85) is changed from
"note 58" to "note 59"; and the cross reference in re-numbered footnote 81 (previously footnote 80)
is changed from "footnote 19" to "footnote 18."  Finally, due to a printing error, part of the last two
sentences in paragraph 37 (previously paragraph 36) were dropped and these sentences are shown
below:      

          We invite comments on these proposals.  Finally, we observe that a recent revision
     to footnote NG147 was inadvertently not published in the Code of Federal
     Regulations, and we therefore take this opportunity to correct this oversight.
