Released: August 28 1998 Experimental Radio Service Electronic Filing Prototypes Comment Deadline: September 8, 1998 The Experimental Licensing Branch of the Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) is working with DynCorp, Information and Engineering Technology to develop an electronic filing and data information and retrieval system for the Experimental Radio Service. Prototype electronic versions of Forms 442, 405, 702, 703 and a Request for Special Temporary Authority for the Experimental Radio Service are available on the Internet for preview and comment by the public. OET expects to be on-line with an option for electronically submitting Experimental Radio Service applications by early December 1998. The project is currently in the initial development phase, and therefore full functionality programming is still in process. As part of the design process, parties who might consider filing for an Experimental Radio Service authorization electronically are invited to review the on-line prototypes and provide feedback on the format, ease of use, help screens, prompts, or any other element pertinent to the electronic filing process. Comments are requested by September 8, 1998.
