Transoceanic Communications, Inc. (TOCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AT&T Corp., and AT&T Submarine Systems, Inc. (AT&T-SSI) submitted the above-captioned application requesting modification of the Cable Landing License for the St. Thomas-St. Croix Cable to reassign ownership from AT&T-SSI to TOCI. The application was placed on public notice on June 4, 1997. No comments were received. 2. Upon consideration of the application and in view of the foregoing, we conclude that consent to the assignment of the Cable Landing License for the St. Thomas-St. Croix Cable from AT&T-SSI to TOCI will serve the public interest, convenience and necessity. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the application, File No.SCL-94-006-AL IS GRANTED, and we consent to the assignment of the Cable landing License for the St. Thomas-St. Croix Cable from AT&T-SSI to TOCI. 4. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that all terms and conditions of the Cable Landing License or any other Commission orders granting authority to AT&T-SSI are now applicable to TOCI. . 5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the St. Thomas-St. Croix Cable Landing License, File no. SCL-94-006 is hereby MODIFIED, pursuant to the provisions of "An Act Relating to the Landing and Operation of Submarine Cables in the United States", 47 U.S.C. Sections 34-39 (1994) and Executive Order No. 10530, reprinted in 3 U.S.C. Section 301 app. at 459-60 (1994). 6. This Order is issued under Section 0.261 of the Commission's Rules and is effective upon adoption. Petitions for reconsideration under Section 1.106 or applications for review under Section 1.115 of the Commission's Rules may be filed within 30 days of the date of public notice of this Order (see Section 1.4(b)(2)).
