FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES: WorldView Imaging Corporation File No. 53-SAT-AMEND-95 WorldView Imaging Corporation (WorldView) has requested authority to amend its application to construct, launch and operate a remote-sensing satellite system utilizing two remote-sensing satellites (Worldview 1A and WorldView 1-B) (see File Nos. 21/22-DSS-P-93 and 43-DSS-LA- 94(2)) by substituting EarthWatch Incorporated (EarthWatch) for WorldView as the applicant. WorldView has agreed with Ball Corporation (Ball) to merge WorldView and EarthWatch, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ball's Aerospace and Communications Group. Ball will retain approximately fifty-six percent ownership of EarthWatch after the merger. AMSC Subsidiary Corporation File Nos. 56/57-DSS-AMEND-94 AMSC Subsidiary Corporation (AMSC) has filed an amendment to its pending application for an extension of time in which to commence construction of its AMSC-2 and AMSC-3 satellites, and corresponding extensions of the construction completion and launch dates established for these satellites. In Application File Nos. 36/37-DSS-MP/ML-93, AMSC requested an extension until January 1994, in which to commence construction of these satellites and corresponding extensions of completion and launch. AMSC amend its request in File Nos. 13/14-DSS- AMEND-94 and is now requesting a further extension, until January 1996, of the construction commencement milestones, and corresponding extensions of the construction completion and launch dates. * * * * * * Request for Declaratory Ruling: Cable & Wireless, Inc. and its affiliates (CWI) have requested a declaratory ruling that the public interest would not be adversely affected by CWI obtaining control of very small aperture terminal (VSAT) licensees for the purpose of providing VSAT-based common carrier services. CWI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cable & Wireless Holdings, Inc. which, in turn, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cable and Wireless plc. Cable and Wireless plc is a publicly-traded corporation organized under the laws of the United Kingdom. Alternatively, AT&T requests special temporary authority to operate the TELSTAR 303 satellite in an inclined orbit operations pending action on its application for modification. Hughes Communications Galaxy, Inc. File Nos. 58-SAT-ML-95 59-SAT-STA-95 Hughes Communications Galaxy, Inc. (Hughes) has filed an application for modification of its Galaxy III domestic fixed-satellite to allow it to operate in an inclined orbit mode. In addition, Hughes requests special temporary authority to operate the Galaxy III satellite in an inclined orbit mode pending action on its application for modification.
