     The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. 
The Commission reserves the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is
determined the application is not in conformance with the Commission's Rules or its policies.  Final action
will not be taken on any of these submissions earlier than 30 days following the date of this notice.

     Direct Broadcasting Satellite Corporation (DBSC) has filed a "Request for Additional
     Time to Construct and Launch Direct Broadcast Satellites and For Expedited Action." 
     DBSC is seeking an additional 28 months, through November 1997, to construct and
     launch its initial DBS satellite.  In addition, DBSC is seeking an additional 12 months
     after November 1997 (or until November 1998) for the second satellite.
