February 22, 1996 WRC-97 ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETINGS ANNOUNCED The FCC will convene the second meeting of its WRC-97 Advisory Committee on Friday, March 8, 1996, at 2:30 pm at the Commission Meeting Room, (Room 856), 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The WRC-97 Advisory Committee, which is comprised of private sector and government participants, is assisting the Commission to prepare recommended United States proposals for the upcoming 1997 World Radiocommunication Conference ("WRC-97"). At the upcoming meeting, the Advisory Committee will introduce the Chairs and Vice- Chairs of the Informal Working Groups (IWGs) and distribute their terms of reference. It will also review the results of recent meetings of the International Telecommunication Union relating to international preparations for WRC-97 and provide an update on the FCC's own preparatory process for WRC-97. A draft agenda for the meeting is attached. The IWG meeting schedule is also attached. Meetings of the Advisory Committee and its IWGs are open to the public.
