       COMSAT Corporation's Notification of Corporate Reorganization


COMSAT Corporation                                   File No. 99-SAT-ISP-96

On April 26, 1996, pursuant to the First Comsat Structure Order, 90 FCC 2d 1159 (1982), Comsat
Corporation notified the Commission of plans to create a new business unit within COMSAT International
Communications devoted to the corporation's personal communications businesses, including Planet 1
Services on the Inmarsat system and services over ICO Global Communications, Ltd.   The new unit will
be called COMSAT Personal Communications (CPC).  

For administrative purposes, File No. 99-SAT-ISP-96 has been assigned to Comsat's notification.  Copies
of the notification and related pleadings will be available for public inspection in the International
Reference Center, Room 102, 2000 M St. N.W., Washington, D.C.  

Comments in response to this notice may be filed on or before May 17, 1996.  Reply comments may be
