In addition, the Commission adopted a new, simplified application form, FCC Form 312. This Public Notice is to announce that the FCC Form 312 is now available, and that applicants may begin to use it immediately. FCC Form 312 will be used in place of FCC Forms 430, 493, 704 and 702 for satellite space and earth station applications filed pursuant to Part 25 of the Commission's rules. To provide a brief transition period, we will continue to accept applications filed using Forms 430, 493, 704 and 702 through October 31, 1997. After October 31, 1997,  X>4applications must be submitted on FCC Form 312.
