STEVEN M. COHEN
Vice President - Solutions Design
Steven Cohen is Vice President for Solutions Design at Telcordia Technologies. In this position, he is responsible for developing the company's strategic approach to opportunities created by telecommunications privatization and deregulation, retail/wholesale competition and new technologies (e.g. xDSL, Next Generation Networks, Voice Over Packet). During his career at Telcordia, Mr. Cohen has held various positions related to Operations Systems Software products, including product management, process design, systems engineering, testing, training, deployment, and hot-line support. Before the current position, Steven was the Executive Director of Solutions Architecture Marketing where he led the development of the Telcordia Business Plan for Telephony Applications. Before joining Telcordia in 1984, Mr. Cohen held various systems engineering positions at Bell Laboratories in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Steven holds a Masters Degree in Operations Research and Statistics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with double minors in computer science and economics from the same institution.
Rich Fialkoff
Executive Director, Customer Care and Billing Solutions
Mr. Fialkoff is the Executive Director of Customer Care and Billing Solutions at Telcordia Technologies. He is responsible for establishing Telcordia's customer care and billing product strategy, direction and plans, and defining broad cross-product solutions. This work includes evaluating alliance partners and maintaining alliance relationships within the customer care and billing domain. Mr. Fialkoff has over 22 years experience with Bell Labs, Ameritech and Telcordia, including various management positions in systems engineering and development, product management, corporate quality and operations, and customer support.
Mike Schwartz
Executive Director and Chief Strategist, Operations Solutions
Mike Schwartz is the Telcordia Technologies Executive Director and Chief Strategist for Operations Solutions, where he is responsible for leading the Strategic Planning and Business Planning efforts of the largest Business Unit in Telcordia. Mr. Schwartz's career spans over 32 years in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Schwartz has led organizations responsible for the development of industry technical requirements and standards, and organizations responsible for the development and execution of conformance and interoperability test capabilities. He was responsible for the implementation of a new business within Telcordia to bring Telcordia's technical services to the telecommunications equipment supplier market place.
Mr. Schwartz received his BS(EE) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York state, and his MSEE from the University of California-Berkeley. Mr. Schwartz is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and a Senior Member of IEEE. He is the IEEE Communications Society representative to the eleven nation governing Council of the International Symposium on Services and Local accesS (ISSLS). and is a former Chairman of the ISSLS Council and its financial board - see http://www.issls-council.org/issls/
Arlene Ryan
Manager of Business Development for Interconnection Solutions
As Manager of Business Development for Interconnection Solutions Arlene Ryan is responsible for developing new and expanded opportunities for the placement of Telcordia interconnection products and service with major incumbent and competitive local exchange carriers. A veteran of nearly twenty-four years in the telecommunications industry Arlene began her career with various sales and marketing positions, first at Southern New England Telephone Company then later with Northern Telecom. Before joining Telcordia Arlene worked for MCI as Carrier Relations Manager where she worked closely with the Local Service organization to facilitate that carrier's entry into the local marketplace.
