DA 00-414 MASS MEDIA BUREAU IMPLEMENTS Consolidated Database System (CDBS) Public Access Released: February 28, 2000 The Mass Media Bureau announces the availability of the radio and television broadcast station Consolidated Database System (CDBS) online public access system. Effective February 28, 2000, users can access this system via the Internet from the Mass Media Bureau's Web Site at: http://www.fcc.gov/mmb The Bureau's new online public access system enables users to search and display radio and television station information as well as station application information including Internet display of granted station authorizations. In addition, the system permits display of the information contained in all FCC Form 301, 314, 315, and 316 applications filed after September 1, 1999. Access to downloadable files is also available through this system. Internet access to the CDBS public access system at the Commission's Web Site requires a user to have, at a minimum, a browser such as Netscape version 3.04 or Internet Explorer version 3.51. Public access to CDBS, and printing for a fee, is available at the FCC's Reference Information Center, Portals II, 445 12th Street, SW, Room CY-A257, Washington, DC, 20554, during regular business hours. Fee-based research and duplicating service is available from the Commission's copy contractor, International Transcription Service, Inc.
