PUBLIC NOTICE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION 445 12TH STREET, SW WASHINGTON, D.C. 20554 DA 00-1135 News media information 202/418-0500 Fax-On-Demand 202/418-2830 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov ftp.fcc.gov Released: May 23, 2000 EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR REPLIES ON PETITION FOR EXPEDITED SPECIAL RELIEF AND DECLARATORY RULING The deadline for filing reply comments in response to the Petition for Expedited Special Relief and Declaratory Ruling filed by Lake Cedar Group, LLC, is extended to June 8, 2000. Lake Cedar Group, LLC has requested an extension of time for filing reply comments in response to the Public Notice inviting comments and reply comments on its Petition for Expedited Special Relief and Declaratory Ruling (DA 00-764, April 10, 2000). In its Petition, Lake Cedar Group requests that the Commission issue an Order preempting a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Colorado, which denied their application to rezone certain land owned by members of the group to permit construction of a multi-user antenna tower to accommodate the new digital television antennas required of the group's members. (Resolution No. CC99-427, issued on August 3, 1999.) Initial comments in response to the Public Notice were filed on May 10, 2000. Lake Cedar Group asserts that an extension of time is necessary for its reply in order to adequately analyze the extensive engineering study submitted by Canyon Area Residents for the Environment and coordinate its response with the several members of its group, and also because it was unable to promptly obtain numerous pleadings that were not served on it directly. For good cause shown, and as no parties or the public will be adversely affected, Lake Cedar Group's request is granted, as specified above. Interested parties may file with the Office of the Secretary a reply to statements opposing or supporting the Petition listed herein by June 8, 2000. See Section 1.4 and 1.405 of the Commission's Rules for further information. An Acrobat version of the full text of the Petition and of the other documents and pleadings can be downloaded from: http://www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Mass_Media/Filings/.
