       Comments and Reply Comment Dates Set for Notice of
         Proposed Rule Making in MM Docket No. 99-292,
    Considering the Creation of a Class A Television Service
                                

     On September 22, 1999, the Commission adopted a Notice of Proposed Rule Making
(Notice) in MM Docket No. 99-292, "In the Matter of Establishment of a Class A Television
Service." (FCC 99-257, released September 29, 1999).  The Commission provided that interested
parties may file comments on or before 60 days after publication of the Notice in the Federal
Register and file reply comments on or before 90 days after publication.

     On October 22, 1999, a summary of the Notice was published in the Federal Register (64
FR 56999).  Accordingly, comments and reply comments must be filed on or before December
21, 1999 and January 20, 2000, respectively.  Complete instructions for filing comments and reply
comments are given in the Notice.
