On November 1, 1999, the Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rule Making
("NPRM") in MM Docket No. 99-325, Digital Audio Broadcasting Systems and Their Impact on
the Terrestrial Radio Broadcast Service, to solicit comments on alternative approaches to
introduce digital audio broadcasting to the American people.  The Commission set deadlines for
filing comments and reply comments at 75 and 105 days after publication of the NPRM in the
Federal Register.  

On November 9, 1999, a summary of the NPRM was published in the Federal Register (64
FR 61054).  Accordingly, comments must be filed on or before January 24, 2000 and reply
comments must be filed on or before February 22, 2000.  Comments and reply comments may be
filed through the Commission's Electronic Comment Filing System or by filing paper copies as set
forth in the NPRM.
