       REGULATORY FEE SCHEDULE FOR FY 1999 ANNOUNCED
  
       
     The FCC has announced its Schedule of Regulatory Fees for fiscal year
  (FY) 1999.  Congress has required that the FCC collect $172,523,000 through
  regulatory fees in order to recover the costs of enforcement policy and
  rulemaking, international and user informational activities for FY 1999. 
  
     This is $10,000,000 more than the amount  that Congress designated in
  FY 1998.
  
     The Schedule of Regulatory Fees applies to virtually all Commission
  licensees and regulatees and the new fees will become effective on September
  10, 1999.
