February 25, 1994 JUDITH L. HARRIS NAMED DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS Judith L. Harris has been selected as Director of the FCC's Office of Legislative Affairs. Harris is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Reed Smith Shaw & McClay. She has extensive experience with consumer protection and antitrust litigation and counseling and has handled numerous matters before both the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). In addition to her trade regulation work, Harris regularly handled a wide variety of civil litigation before the federal courts. During the years 1978-1980, Harris left the law firm to serve as Senior Trial Counsel in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice where she worked on a large number of civil and criminal matters. Harris received a B.A. with highest honors from the University of Michigan, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and she received her J.D. from Yale Law School. She is a member of the National Health Lawyers Association, and the American, Ohio, and District of Columbia Bar Asssociations.
