             FCC'S OFFICE OF GENERAL COUNSEL IS REORGANIZED
                                    
     The Commission has reorganized its Office of General Counsel to make it more
efficient and to reflect more accurately its current mission. 

     The Adjudication Divsion has been merged into the Administrative Law Division.
This Division will be responsible for advising the Commission on legal matters, adjudicating
cases and interpreting statutes affecting the Commission.

     The merger will provide a more efficient use of staff, broaden adjudications staff
expertise, provide a stronger focus on customer service, streamline decision-making and
reduce layers.

     The Office of General Counsel will now consist of: an Immediate Office comprised of
the General Counsel and two Deputies; a Litigation Division; and Administrative Law
Division; and a Competition Division. 

     The reorganization becomes effective January 22, 1995.

     Action by the Commission January 4, 1995.  Chairman Hundt, Commissioners
Quello, Barrett, Ness and Chong.
