                  HARVEY LEE APPOINTED DEPUTY DIRECTOR,
                      OFFICE OF WORKPLACE DIVERSITY

      Harvey Lee has joined the Commission's Office of Workplace Diversity (OWD) as  its
Deputy Director.  

     Harvey came to the FCC in 1982, as the Chief of the Human Resource Division's 
Recruitment and Staffing Branch.  He had held similar positions with the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.  

     More recently he was the Office of Engineering and Technology's Data Automation
Liaison Officer and Chief, Program Management Staff.  For the past four years he has been
involved in the Commission's EEO program serving as a collateral duties complaints
investigator.  He also served on the OWD task force that drafted the blueprint for the Office of
Workplace Diversity.

     Harvey is a lifelong resident of the Washington, D. C. area and a graduate of the
University of Maryland.  He resides in Arlington, Virginia.
