NEWS October 27, 1995 JONATHAN E. NUECHTERLEIN NAMED SPECIAL COUNSEL TO FCC GENERAL COUNSEL Jonathan E. Nuechterlein has been named Special Counsel to FCC General Counsel William E. Kennard. He will specialize in litigation matters and in giving legal advice on a range of policy and constitutional issues. Nuechterlein previously practiced law at the Washington office of Sidley & Austin. From 1991 to 1992, he was a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter and, before that, to Judge Stephen F. Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Nuechterlein received his law degree from Yale Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor on the Yale Law Journal, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale College, from which he graduated summa cum laude. "Jon is a terrific talent and I am delighted that he has joined us," said Kennard. "We look forward to his contributions to our work in the Office of General Counsel." - FCC -
