                FCC TO HOST A 1996 SPECTRUM AUCTIONS FORUM


The Federal Communications Commission's Office of Communications
Business
Opportunities (OCBO) will host a conference on " FCC Auctions
'96" on Friday, March
15, 1996 in Washington, DC.  In 1996,  the FCC will auction
spectrum used for a variety
of services: Narrowband Personal Communications Services,
Broadband Personal
Communications Services in the D, E and F Blocks, 800 MHz and 220
MHz Specialized
Mobile Radio, General Wireless Communications Services,
Interactive Video and Data
Services (IVDS), 28 GHz and 37 GHz band.  

Conference sessions will address licensing, spectrum
availability, proposed channeling
plans, financial resources, and opportunities in these emerging
technologies.  This
unique event will allow every attendee the opportunity to
interact with FCC staff and
other participants.
