NEWS April 4, 1996 JOHN E. LOGAN NAMED ACTING DEPUTY CHIEF, CABLE SERVICES BUREAU John E. Logan has been selected as Acting Deputy Chief of the Cable Services Bureau. Previously, Logan served as Deputy Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs at the Commission. In that capacity, he worked on the Telecommunications Act 1996 and with state and local officials and policymakers. Prior to joining the Commission, Logan served as Director of the Department of Justice's United States Trustee Program where he supervised the administration of bankruptcy cases. Logan previously held a number of other positions at the Justice Department, including serving in their Office of Legislative Affairs, as General Counsel for the U.S. Trustee Program, and as Deputy General Counsel in the Justice Management Division. Logan received the Attorney General's John Marshall award for outstanding legal achievement. Before joining the Department of Justice, Logan was an associate in the Newark, NJ, law firm of Lasser, Lasser, Sarokin & Hochman. Logan graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, and received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School. He and his wife, Eloise Rosas, live in the District of Columbia and have one son. - FCC -
