FCC RELEASES MOST RECENT TELECOM ACT IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE

     The FCC has released its most recent implementation schedule for the
Telecommunications Act of 1996.

     The 39-page document is a working document reflects the FCC staff's current plans
regarding implementation of the Act but does not constitute an interpretation of the Act by
the staff or the Commission.  It is being released for the convenience of the public and is
available from the FCC's Internet Home Page at www.fcc.gov and, for a fee,  through ITS,
the Commission's duplicating contractor at (202) 857-3800.
