PUBLIC FORUM ON THE ECONOMICS OF MANDATED 
               STANDARDS FOR DIGITAL TELEVISION RESCHEDULED
TO FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1996

       The public forum originally scheduled for Friday, October 18, 1996, at the Federal
Communications Commission on the economics of mandated standards for digital television
has been rescheduled to Friday, November 1, 1996. 

       The event will take place in the Commission Meeting Room, Room 856, 1919 M
Street, NW, Washington, DC.  The forum is scheduled from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
  
       Speakers will include:

               Joseph Farrell, Chief Economist, FCC
               Bruce Owen, Economists, Inc.
               Jeffrey Rohlfs, Strategic Policy Research
               Lee Selwyn, Economics and Technology, Inc.
