   NETWORK RELIABILITY AND INTEROPERABILITY COUNCIL MEETING, 
                         APRIL 14, 1999

     The next meeting of the Network Reliability and Interoperability Council will be held on
April 14, 1999, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, in the Commission Meeting Room, Room TW-C305,
at the Federal Communications Commission's Portals Building.  The Portals is located at 445 12th
Street, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.  

     The meeting will review progress reports of Focus Groups 1 and 2, giving
recommendations on and results from testing of telecommunications networks and Year 2000
issues.  In addition, Focus Group 3 will provide a status report and the Network Reliability
Steering Committee will provide its quarterly report.

     The meeting is open to the general public.  More information about the Network
