              WIRELESS BUREAU INSTALLS TWO TELETYPEWRITERS (TTYs)

     The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) has recently installed a TTY or
"text telephone" in two locations in the Bureau's Washington offices.  The first TTY is
located in the Bureau's Enforcement Division, Room 8308, 2025 M St., N.W.  The second
TTY is located in the Public Reference Center, Room 5608, 2025 M St., N.W.  

     "The installation of the TTYs is part of a series of steps we have taken to facilitate
communication between the Bureau and persons with disabilities.  As we work towards
ensuring that all Americans have access to advanced telecommunications capabilities, we
need to ensure that the Bureau's own personnel who interact regularly with the public are
able to receive telephone calls from TTY users." said WTB Chief Michele Farquhar.
