January 19, 1999 JEANINE POLTRONIERI TO BECOME SENIOR COUNSEL OF THE WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU Jeanine Poltronieri will become Senior Counsel of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. In this role she will continue oversight of the Commercial Wireless Division, advising the Bureau Chief on policy and regulation of commercial mobile radio services. In addition, she will advise the Bureau Chief on streamlining initiatives designed to increase the Bureau's efficiency. Since July 1997, Poltronieri has served as Associate Bureau Chief of the Wireless Bureau. Poltronieri was appointed Chief of the Universal Service Branch of the Common Carrier Bureau at its inception in August 1996, and continued in that role through July 1997. Poltronieri joined the Commission in 1994 as an Attorney/Advisor in the Mass Media Bureau where she worked on wireless cable issues. Prior to joining the Commission, Poltronieri practiced at the Washington law firm of Patton, Boggs. Poltronieri earned a B.A. degree summa cum laude from Fordham University, where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D. degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. -FCC-
