      WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU RENAMES SEVERAL DIVISIONS

     The FCC's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, which was established as part of an
agency reorganization in 1994, is renaming several divisions within the Bureau to describe more
accurately the functions they perform.  The changes do not affect the duties and responsibilities
of the organizational units and their assigned staffs.

     The changes are as follows:

     The Commercial Radio Division is now the Commercial Wireless Division.  The
Division's Commercial Radio Branch is renamed the Broadband Branch, and the Division's
Narrowband Radio Branch is renamed the Narrowband Branch.

     The Private Radio Division is renamed the Private Wireless Division.  

     The Administration and Management staff is now the Management and Planning staff.
