                ERRATUM TO MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER


                                        Released:  September 22, 1998

By the Chief, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau:

     This erratum corrects the above-captioned Memorandum Opinion and Order released by the
Commission on September 11, 1998, FCC 98-223.  These errors were corrected prior to publication of the
Memorandum Opinion and Order in the FCC Record.  This erratum:

     1.  Corrects the caption to add the following petitioners: Focal Communications Corporation;  Arch
Communications Group, Inc.;  U S West Communications, Inc.;  MediaOne Telecommunications; American
Mobile Satellite Corporation.  

     2.  Adds the following citations to footnote 2:  Focal Communications Corporation (Focal), Petition
