WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU PROCESSES OVER 40,000 AND GRANTS MORE THAN 4500 APPLICATIONS FOR 800 MHZ SMR, BUSINESS, INDUSTRIAL/LAND TRANSPORTATION AND GENERAL CATEGORY CHANNELS RECEIVED BETWEEN NOVEMBER 8, 1993 AND AUGUST 10, 1994 The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau has reviewed approximately 40,000 applications received between November 8, 1993 and August 10, 1994 for channels in the SMR, Business, Industrial/Land Transportation, and General Categories and made grants of more than 4,500 of those applications. The Bureau's efforts were greatly enhanced with the Commission's acceptance of computer resources from an industry coalition composed of American Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA), Industrial Telecommunications Association (ITA), Council of Independent Communications Suppliers (CICS) and the National Association of Business and Educational Radio (NABER), now the Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA). A list of applications that have been granted frequencies consistent with Part 90 of the Commission's rules is available at the locations shown below. The list constitutes grant of the licenses. License documents will be mailed as soon as possible. All licenses will have a grant date of March 17, 1995.
