        PUBLIC FORUM ON WIRELESS FACILITIES SITING ISSUES
     UNDER SECTION 704 OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT OF 1996
        TO BE HELD AT THE COMMISSION ON FEBRUARY 10, 1997


     The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, Office of the General Counsel, Compliance
and Information Bureau and the Office of Engineering and Technology will co-host a Public
Forum on zoning and land use issues as they relate to siting of antenna facilities for providing
wireless services.  The Forum will address the regulatory concerns of local zoning authorities,
the needs of wireless service providers in building out wireless infrastructures, and the respective
roles of the Commission and state and local governments as defined by Section 704 of the
Telecommunications Act of 1996, 47 U.S.C  332(c)(7).

     The Forum will be held on February 10, 1997, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the
Commission Meeting Room (#856), 1919 M Street, NW, Washington, DC.  The event will be
video recorded, and copies of videotapes may be ordered, at no cost, from the Office of Public

provide a blank T-120 minutes High Quality videotape with a request indicating the date and title
