May 10, 1996 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES 929-930 MHZ PAGING LICENSEES THAT HAVE MET CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONWIDE EXCLUSIVITY Pursuant to the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in WT Docket No. 96-18, released February 9, 1996, the following is a list of private carrier paging (PCP) licensees who our records indicate have met the construction requirements for nationwide exclusivity as defined in Section 90.495(a)(3) of our rules as of February 8, 1996. Under our interim licensing rules adopted in the Notice and modified in the First Report and Order in WT Docket 96-18, these licensees may add or modify sites to their systems consistent with the requirements of Part 90, Subpart P. The nationwide exclusivity rights conferred on these licensees are subject to the outcome of the rulemaking in WT Docket 96-18. In addition, licensing and operation on these channels may be limited by international agreement in the US/Mexico and US/Canada border areas. Notwithstanding the designation of these licensees as having met the requirements for nationwide exclusivity, they remain subject to the relevant rules regarding international coordination and assignment of these channels in the border areas.
