Washington, D.C. 20554 Released: August 16, 1996 WIR ELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU CLARIFIES ACC EPTABLE EDITIONS AND USE OF FCC FORM 574 Effective January 2, 1995, FCC Form 574 was replaced by FCC Form 600 for all applicants except those in the General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) and Interactive Video Data Service (IVDS). The Commission has continued to accept FCC Form 574 in lieu of FCC Form 600 as a matter of convenience to our applicants. With the increasing volume of electronically filed applications and gradual implementation of further electronic processing procedures, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau finds it necessary to obsolete the use of FCC Form 574 for all applicants except those in the General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) and Interactive Video Data Service (IVDS). Beginning September 1, 1996, all Land Mobile Radio Services Part 90 applicants must file FCC Form 600. Any filings submitted on FCC Form 574 for Part 90 applicants will be dismissed. Part 95 applicants in the General Mobile Radio Service and Interactive Video Data Service should continue to use FCC Form 574. All editions of FCC Form 574 prior to September 1995 are obsolete.
