This article provides information on how to request a Duplicate Registration in the Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) system.

Steps to Filing a Request for a Duplicate Registration in ASR
  1. Log in to ASR Online Filing with your FCC Registration Number (FRN) and password.
  2. On the Antenna Structure Registration Dashboard click on the drop-down arrow on the More Actions button.
  3. Select the purpose Request Duplicate Registration.
  4. On the Select Registrations page select one or more checkboxes next to the registrations you would like to cancel.

    Optional: Once all registrations have been selected, click the Selected tab to validate your list of selected registrations.

  5. Click on the Save and Continue button to navigate to the Application Summary.
  6. On the Application Summary page click on the Sign and Submit button
  7. Complete the Certification page and click the Submit Application button.

    Note: By typing your first and last name in the name fields you have signed your application.

  8. You will receive a confirmation of application submission that shows the file number(s) and status. Click the Back to Home button to return to the Antenna Structure Registration Dashboard.

Filing a Dismantlement Notification in the Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) System

This article provides information on submitting a Notification of Antenna Structure Dismantlement in the Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) system. You would file a Notification of Dismantlement if the constructed antenna structure was dismantled or destroyed. This could be the result of the owner dismantling the structure, natural disaster, erosion, etc.

Steps to Filing a Dismantlement Notification Application in ASR
  1. Log in to ASR Online Filing with your FCC Registration Number (FRN) and password.
  2. On the Antenna Structure Registration Dashboard click on the drop-down arrow on the More Actions button.
  3. Select the purpose Notify Structure Dismantlement.
  4. On the Registration Manager page click on the registration number you would like to update.
  5. On the Registration at a Glance page click on the drop-down arrow on the More Actions button and select Notify Structure Dismantlement.
  6. Enter the date dismantled then click on the Save and Continue button.
  7. On the Application Summary page click on the Sign and Submit button.
  8. Complete the Certification page and click the Submit Application button.
  9. Note: By typing your first and last name in the name fields you have signed your application.

  10. You will receive a confirmation of application submission that shows the file number and status. Click the Back to Home button to return to the Antenna Structure Registration Dashboard.

Steps to Filing a Request to Renew a License in ULS
  1. Log in to ULS Online Filing with your FCC Registration Number (FRN) and password.

What is the difference between a Request for a Duplicate License and a Reference Copy of a License?

A duplicate license is a copy of an original license that is mailed to you; whereas a reference copy is a copy of a license that you can print yourself in ULS License Search. The reference copy includes a watermark that says “Reference Copy” and is not considered an official version of your license.

This article provides information on Withdrawing an Application in the Universal Licensing System (ULS). Applications with a status of pending, returned, or consented to can be withdrawn.

Steps to Filing a Request to Withdraw an Application in ULS
  1. Log in to ULS Online Filing with your FCC Registration Number (FRN) and password.

    Note: If you are taken to the My Licenses page, click My Applications to begin the steps below.

  2. Click Pending, Returned, or Consented To (depending on the current status of the application you would like to withdraw).
  3. Check the box next to the file number you would like to withdraw and Click the Withdraw button at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Click Continue to navigate through the application.
  5. Sign your application and click Submit Application.

Applications will appear either the next business day in ULS Application Search or two businesses days later for applications filed on a weekend or federal holiday.  Enter the file number in the ULS Application Search to find your application.

When will my application be withdrawn?

Generally, the application is withdrawn the next business day.

What should I do if I filed the application in error?

This article provides information on Amending an Application in the Universal Licensing System (ULS). There are generally two reasons for you to amend an application in ULS:

  1. You received a Notice of Return letter from the FCC and you must respond to the letter; or
  2. You need to change some information on an application that is pending.

  4. Make your changes, sign your application and click Submit Application.

Why don’t I see an Update link as indicated in step 3?

There are a few possibilities:

This article provides information on Modifying a License in the Universal Licensing System (ULS). You would modify a license to change technical or legal parts of an existing license. For example, adding a frequency, increasing the power of an antenna, or changing the regulatory status of a license are all things that are filed on a modification application.

Changes to administrative information on your license such as mailing address, phone number, or e-mail address are handled by filing an Administrative Update.

Within 30 days from the date that your license is cancelled, you can file a Petition for Reconsideration.

Will I owe a filing fee?

No.

Can I change the licensee name by filing a request to update administrative information on a license?

Yes, but only if the name change does not involve a change in ownership of the license or licensee. Otherwise, a transfer of control or license assignment application needs to be filed. Additional information about these types of filings is available at the Transactions Topic page.
