Prior to his current position as President of MSV, Carson Agnew served as Motient Corporations's Vice President of Business Development from 1996 to 2001. He was also involved with funding activity for both American Mobile and XM Satellite Radio. Agnew joined American Mobile after 11 years at Hughes Communications Inc., a subsidiary of Hughes Electronics.

Prior to joining Hughes, Agnew was an Assistant Professor at Stanford University and a consultant for Mathematica, Inc. in Princeton, N.J. Agnew has a Ph. D and a Master of Science in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University in Palo Also, Calif. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in Cambridge, Mass.
