STATEMENT FROM FCC CHAIRMAN JULIUS GENACHOWSKI ON THE HOUSE ENERGY
& COMMERCE COMMITTEE RESOLUTION ON INTERNET GOVERNANCE“I applaud the Energy and Commerce Committee for its bipartisan resolution supporting the successful
multistakeholder model of Internet governance and rejecting proposals that could stifle the free and open
Internet. Proposals to abandon the multistakeholder model would be devastating to the future of the
Internet, and I will continue to work with my colleagues at the FCC and throughout the U.S. government
to oppose such proposals.”
