On September 28, 2012, the Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, in
which it initiated a rulemaking to review its policies governing mobile spectrum holdings.1 The NPRM
set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 45 and 75 days after its publication in the
Federal Register, which occurred on October 9, 2012.2 Accordingly, the deadline for filing comments
was set at November 23, 2012 and the deadline for filing reply comments was set at December 24, 2012.3

In this order, on our own motion, we grant an extension of time within which to file
comment and reply comments.4 Given the proximity of the filing deadlines to two federal holidays, as
well as our desire to encourage thoughtful consideration of the important issues raised in this proceeding,
we believe that a grant of additional time within which to file comments and reply comments will help to
facilitate careful and deliberate consideration of these matters. Therefore, we grant to all parties an
extension of the comment and reply comment filing deadlines, establishing November 28, 2012 as the
new comment filing deadline and January 7, 2012 as the new reply comment filing deadline.

Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to section 4(i) of the Communications Act
of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. § 154(i), and sections 0.131, 0.331, and 1.46 of the Commission’s rules,
47 C.F.R. §§ 0.131, 0.331, and 1.46, that the deadline to file comments in this proceeding is extended to
November 28, 2012 and the deadline to file reply comments in the proceeding is extended to January 7,
2012.
