COMMENT DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR PUBLIC NOTICE SEEKING
UPDATED INFORMATION AND COMMENT ON REVIEW OF
HEARING AID COMPATIBILITY REGULATIONS
WT Docket No. 10-254
Extended Comment Date: January 7, 2013
On November 1, 2012, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau released a Public Notice inwhich we sought updated comment in our ongoing review of the wireless hearing aid compatibility rules.1
The Public Notice set the deadline for filing comments at 30 days after its publication in the Federal
Register, which occurred on November 26, 2012.2 Accordingly, the deadline for filing comments was set
at December 26, 2012.3
On our own motion, we grant an extension of time within which to file comments.4 Given the
proximity of the filing deadline to a federal holiday, as well as our desire to encourage thoughtful
consideration of the important issues raised in this proceeding, we believe that a grant of additional time
within which to file comments will help to facilitate careful and deliberate consideration of these matters.
Therefore, we grant to all parties an extension of the comment filing deadline until January 7, 2013.
