Extended Reply Comment Date: April 25, 2011
Adopted: April 14, 2011
Released: April 14, 2011
By the Chief, Media Bureau:1. On February 11, 2011, the Federal Register published the Commission's Notice of Proposed
Rulemaking ("NPRM") in the above-captioned proceeding.1 That NPRM established a comment deadline
of March 18, 2011 and a reply comment deadline of April 18, 2011. On April 13, 2011, LIN Television
Corporation d/b/a LIN Media, Media General, Inc., the Named State Broadcasters Associations,2 Sinclair
Broadcast Group, Inc., and Tribune Broadcasting Company, Debtor-In-Possession, requested that the
reply deadline be extended by 7 days because the current reply comment filing deadline falls immediately
after the 2011 National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas Nevada, which concludes
today. Many broadcasters, their counsel, and other interested parties, attended the NAB Show. In
addition, FCC staff and Commissioners also attended the NAB Show and made public presentations
regarding incentive auctions, among other matters related to this proceeding. The requestors assert that
they need the opportunity to address in their reply comments matters that they learned from these
presentations.
